Illustration designed for JP Valentine to be used on a promotional gig poster.  Originally, I sketched out the basic premise of a playing card mimicking the idea of Valentine being a king of hearts.  From there I penciled out the pieces as I needed them and then imported the sketches into Illustrator where I redrew them.  Finally, I imported it into Photoshop to achieve the desired effect of actual playing cards.
